What We Do

The University of Oregon Cyber Risk Clinic provides hands-on cybersecurity support to public sector organizations, with a current focus on helping Oregon water and wastewater districts improve their cybersecurity. Through state-funded support, we help organizations understand their cyber risk, complete practical assessments, and take the next steps to improve their security.

Our Current Focus: Water District Cybersecurity Support

We are currently working with water and wastewater districts across Oregon to complete the Cybersecurity Performance Goals (CPGs) developed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).These goals provide a simple, practical framework to help organizations:

  • Understand their current cybersecurity posture
  • Identify gaps
  • Prioritize improvements

Our goal is to make this process clear, approachable, and achievable-- even for organizations without dedicated IT or cybersecurity staff.
